I believe the world is, deep down and sometimes on the surface, a good place. I believe that people are inherently good.
I believe that, even as individuals, we can change the world. Change a life. Change our perspective, the way we think about our actions, our neighbors, our words.
I believe in the voice of one person, the voice of the people, the importance of being a voice for those who are unheard.
I believe in a glass––a world––at least halfway full.
I believe in reform, in redemption.
I believe in a different way, a better way, a way forward.

It’d make an awfully large bumper sticker, but it all makes a lot of sense to me.
